How To Select Course After your 12th Standard.
It's almost the last week of January 2020, Students are ready to face class 12th boards but what about career after 12th?
Answer to this question is a great chaos for many students. We are going to provide you enough information that will shatter your confusion for career after 12th.
When we divide students of class 12th we have three major classifications:
1. Science (Medical & Non medical)
2. Commerce
3. Arts
We will en-light on each of the type of students.
Career after 12th class
There are two types of courses out of which you have to choose. Following is the classification:
a) Professional Courses are the job oriented courses. These courses are modern courses examples of professional courses are BBA, B.Tech, BCA, Hotel Management, BJMC etc.
b) Traditional Courses are the old courses which have a lot of theory but they lack practical knowledge examples of traditional courses are BA, B.COM, B.SC etc.
Now lets talk about Big Universities in Delhi
Choice of Universities in Delhi
There are two Universities for Delhi students. Following are the ones:
1. Delhi University - Delhi University is one of the India's premier education institute. Famous celebrities that are alumni of Delhi University are Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kiran Bedi, Arun Jaitely etc. Delhi University is an government organisation. Fees for various courses is very less as compared to other universities.
2. Indraprastha University - Guru Gobind Singh Indraprashta University (GGSIPU or IP or IPU), formerly Indraprastha University is a semi-government organisation. It has been graded 'A' by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The medium of instruction is English to meet the international language standards. Fees for IP University is high as compared to DU. Famous alumni include Taapsee Pannu, Gaurav Gogai, Guneet Monga etc.
Choice of Courses
We will describe courses for students stream wise:
1. First let us talk about Science students. Science students have B.Tech as a first choice that too from IIT. Many of them when they could not go to IIT, They choose Economics Honors from Delhi University. They sometimes also go for a B.SC degree that is Physics(hons), Chemistry(hons), Maths(hons) etc. Favourite colleges are Hansraj, Hindu and Kirorimal college.
In IP University, Science students prefer for B.Tech and BCA mostly. Favourite colleges are Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT) and Northern India Engineering College (NIEC).
2. Secondly, We would like to talk about commerce students hot pick for Commerce students are B.Com, Economics(hons), BMS etc. Most liked colleges are SRCC, Hindu and Hansraj college.
Students can also go for BBA, BCA, B.Com(hons) etc from IP University. Favourite colleges are Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology (MSIT) and Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS).
3. Last but not the least, It is time for Arts students. They go for Economics(hons), Geography(hons), History(hons), Political Science(hons) etc. Favourite Colleges are Hansraj, Hindu and Kirorimal college.
